I Rettori dei Santuari italiani in udienza dal Santo Padre

Dal 15-19 Novembre 2021, i Rettori dei Santuari italiani si sono riuniti a Roma per il 55° Convegno Nazionale sul tema “Sinodalità e Santuari”, durante il quale P. Mario Magro di Messina è stato eletto Presidente CNS per il prossimo quinquennio.

Mercoledì 17 Novembre 2021, durante l’Udienza Generale nell’aula San Paolo VI in Vaticano, Papa Francesco – avvicinandosi ai Rettori dei Santuari – ha sottolineato con determinazione l’importanza dei Santuari quale luogo di accoglienza per i Pellegrini: «I Santuari sono luoghi di incontro con Dio e con i Fratelli. Non Dimenticate che Santuari vuol dire: Pellegrini, Pellegrini, Pellegrini!».

Un appello rivolto ai Rettori e agli Operatori dei Santuari, ma anche alle Istituzioni affinché abbiano uno sguardo attento e un cuore accogliente verso coloro che intraprendono un cammino di fede per chiedere una grazia, una forza o un aiuto, perché accogliere i pellegrini è un’importante opera di misericordia corporale gradita a Dio.

A questo proposito, Mons. Rino Fisichella, presidente del “Pontificio Consiglio per la Promozione della nuova evangelizzazione”, ha proposto ai Rettori di farsi promotori di pellegrinaggi a piedi riscoprendo sentieri di fede o creando cammini che mettano in collegamento i vari Santuari.
