69mo Anniversario Lacrimazione della Madonna delle Lacrime
Il messaggio dell’Arcivescovo di Siracusa, Mons. Francesco Lomanto, introduce il programma del 69mo Anniversario della Lacrimazione della Madonna a Siracusa:
Carissimi Fratelli e Sorelle,
le Lacrime della Madonna accompagnano il cammino della Chiesa e rafforzano la nostra fede nel Signore. Esse non sono segno di debolezza o di resa, sono piuttosto la nostra forza e la nostra speranza perché – come ha detto Papa Francesco – «Le Lacrime di Maria sono un riflesso delle Lacrime di Gesù» (23.04.2022).
Le Lacrime di Maria, quale riflesso delle Lacrime di Gesù sono la certezza che non siamo soli: Dio è con noi e mai abbandona i suoi figli nella sofferenza e nelle fatiche della vita. «Se Dio ha pianto – afferma il Papa – anch’io posso piangere sapendo di essere compreso» (05.05.2016).
Le Lacrime della Madonna riflettono le Lacrime di Gesù e sono la rivelazione dell’Amore di Dio che piange con noi, suscitando in noi la «grazia di saper piangere» per i nostri peccati, per le sofferenze dei fratelli, per la crudeltà della guerra fratricida e per l’insensatezza della violenza.
Le Lacrime della Madonna donino occhi nuovi per guardare col cuore di Dio la nostra storia e poter agire con vera carità verso i fratelli poveri e sofferenti.
O Signore Gesù, Tu che hai pianto alle porte di Gerusalemme, sulla tomba dell’amico Lazzaro e nell’agonia dell’orto del Getsemani; Tu che dall’alto della croce hai visto piangere la Madre Tua, dona a noi la grazia delle lacrime di conversione, per poter vivere secondo il cuore di Dio e fa’ che impariamo ad asciugare dal volto dei fratelli quelle lacrime causate dalle miserie dell’umanità ferita dall’egoismo e dal peccato.
Madonna delle Lacrime, benedici e proteggi le nostre famiglie, la nostra Chiesa siracusana e il mondo intero. Amen!

Confermata l’installazione della pedana sull’Altare maggiore, che facilita la preghiera al cospetto del Quadretto miracoloso della Madonna delle Lacrime, dal 14 agosto al 2 settembre 2022.
Venerdì 26 Agosto 2022, il programma prevede un incontro con i testimoni oculari della Lacrimazione della Madonna nel 1953 e la presentazione dei libri-testimonianza del Dr. Franco Cirillo.
Sabato 27 Agosto 2022, al termine della Celebrazione Eucaristica delle ore 19.00, presieduta da Mons. Francesco Lomanto, sarà celebrato il tradizionale rito della benedizione del cotone, che sarà distribuito ai fedeli al termine delle Sante Messe del Sabato e della Domenica 28 agosto 2022.
Culmine dei giorni anniversari – che saranno scanditi dalla “Staffetta del Santo Rosario” – sarà la celebrazione Eucaristica delle ore 19.00 presieduta da Mons. Francesco Lomanto (29 Agosto 2022), da Mons. Salvatore Pappalardo (30 Agosto 2022), Mons. Giuseppe La Placa (31 Agosto 2022), da S. Em.za Card. Gualtiero Bassetti (1 settembre 2022).
