The visit of the Reliquary in the Parish Communities

The Reliquary is usually exposed for the veneration of the faithful who come to the Shrine on Sundays and feast days.

The Reliquary reaches many communities upon the request of the ecclesial community (it has already been to Malta, Poland, Australia, and the USA), as a sign of the tenderness of our Mother who guides, consoles, admonishes encourages and asks collaboration for her mission: to make known to all the love of the Father. It is the path that Mary began with the visitation to Elizabeth and which dilates in time and history.

The request for the visit of the reliquary is done by the pastor or the priest responsible for a particular community. He must send the authorization of the Bishop, ordinary of the diocese, to the Archbishop of Syracuse.

The reliquary is always accompanied by a team of laity and priests from the Shrine; the presence of the tears of Mary in a city or in a diocese is always an occasion for reflection, conversion, but above all, of grace.
